Select Fashion Ltd is a garment buying house based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, specialising in woven apparel — shirts, trousers, denim, outerwear and workwear — for fashion brands, retailers and importers in the United States and European Union. Founded in 2011, we manage the full production cycle on our clients' behalf: factory selection, sampling, price negotiation, inline quality control, final inspection and shipment.

What we do

We sit between your brand and the factory floor

You send a tech pack; we handle everything that happens afterwards in Bangladesh, and you deal with one accountable point of contact instead of five factories in three time zones.

Because we are a buying house rather than a single factory, we place each order with the mill best suited to it. A structured oxford shirt and a washed denim jacket do not belong in the same production line, and matching the garment to the right factory is most of what determines whether an order ships on time and on spec.

Why brands work with us

Five things that decide whether an order ships correctly

Audited factories only

BSCI, WRAP and Sedex certified production units, verified with the issuing body before we place a single order.

Low MOQ access

We consolidate small orders across factories that would normally refuse them, which is how independent labels get factory-direct pricing.

One accountable contact

A single merchandiser from enquiry to shipment. No chasing three suppliers for one container.

Inline QC, not just final inspection

Problems get caught at 20% production, when they are still fixable and affect a fifth of the order instead of all of it.

Transparent FOB costing

You see the fabric, trim, CM and margin breakdown — not a single number you cannot interrogate.

How it works

Six stages, from first enquiry to goods on the water

The full detail of each stage — including what it costs and what commonly goes wrong — is set out in our sourcing guide.

STAGE 01

You send a brief

A tech pack, reference sample or sketch. Any of the three is enough to start.

STAGE 02

We quote in 48 hours

Broken-down FOB price and a realistic lead time, not a single unexplained number.

STAGE 03

We develop a sample

Developed, made and couriered to you for approval before anything is cut in bulk.

STAGE 04

You confirm the order

We place it with the matched factory and confirm price, dates, Incoterm and terms in writing.

STAGE 05

We run inline QC

Inline and midline inspection during production, with photographic reports at each stage.

STAGE 06

Inspection and shipment

Final AQL inspection, then shipment, export documentation and handover.

Final AQL inspection of packed garments before shipment

Compliance and quality

Every factory certified. Every order inspected.

Every factory in our network holds current social compliance certification, and every order is inspected to AQL 2.5 before it leaves Bangladesh. If your buyer, retailer or importer requires specific audit documentation, we supply it with the shipment.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently Asked Questions

A garment buying house is a sourcing intermediary that manages apparel production on a buyer's behalf. Unlike a factory, which manufactures in-house, a buying house selects and supervises multiple factories, handling sampling, pricing, quality control and shipment. Brands use one to get factory-direct pricing without maintaining their own office in the producing country.

Our MOQ starts at 1,000 pieces per style per colour for woven garments. Some categories go lower — 500 pieces on selected shirt and trouser styles where fabric is already in stock.

Sampling takes 10–14 days from receipt of your tech pack. Bulk production runs 45–60 days after sample approval, plus 20–30 days sea freight to the US or EU. Air freight cuts transit to 5–7 days at higher cost.

Yes. A significant share of our clients are independent labels placing their first overseas order. We will walk you through tech packs, Incoterms, payment terms and documentation rather than assuming you already know them.

Our partner factories hold BSCI, WRAP, Sedex and OEKO-TEX certification, with GOTS and GRS available for organic and recycled programmes. Current audit certificates are available on request before you place an order.
